Privacy
Your gatherings are yours.
We collect what the app needs to work, show it only to people you choose, and never sell it. Effective August 17, 2026.
The short version
- We never sell your data. No ads, no trackers, no algorithms.
- Guests don't need accounts — a name is enough.
- Location data is stripped from photos when you upload them.
- “Can't make it” goes privately to the host, never on a wall.
- Usage stats count actions, never people — no names, ids, or titles are ever logged.
What we collect
Hosts: your email and sign-in details, plus what you create — events, invites, guest lists, potluck items, photos, saved places.
Guests: the name you give when you reply, your RSVPs and votes, and a phone number or email only if you choose to share one.
Automatically: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) that keep the service running and secure. No tracking cookies — your browser stores only what keeps you signed in.
How we use it
To run the app: show your invite to your guests, deliver the notifications you asked for, and keep the service secure. We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it — to anyone, ever.
Who else touches it
A few service providers, only so the app can work:
- Supabase — our database and photo storage, hosted in the United States
- Resend — delivers invite and notification emails
- Google Fonts — your browser fetches our fonts from Google
- Our web host — serves the site and collects crash reports so we can fix errors; those reports don't include your content
Beyond that, we share data only if the law requires it.
Who can see what
Your event page is visible to people with its link, under the guest-list visibility you set. Public community listings are visible to everyone on Discover. Everything else is private.
For businesses and community groups
Organizations posting public events get their own clear deal — and so does everyone reading them:
- What orgs give us: a profile and what they post publicly. Public listings are visible to everyone — that's their point.
- What orgs see about you: counts, never names. An org can see how many people were interested, planned around, or shared its event — never who.
- Your marks are yours: “interested” or “going” is stored with your account so your board and calendar work, and you can clear it any time. Public tallies only show once at least five people have marked — below that, no number appears to anyone.
- Never a mailing list: orgs don't get your contact info, and marking interest never signs you up for anything.
- Paying changes nothing here: when paid org accounts arrive, they'll buy better tools — never more access to people. No tier, free or paid, unlocks names, contacts, or lists.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete photos and events any time in the app. To delete your account and everything in it, email us — we'll confirm when it's done.
Children
Accounts are for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access-controlled at the database, row by row. No system is perfect — which is one more reason we collect as little as possible.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and say what changed.
